Javier Coy Biennial Research Award

The goal of the award is to promote research in the field of American Studies among SAAS members. The award distinguishes the originality and solidness of the works presented.

The award is open to original works (joint authorship is also possible) published in 2007 and 2008. Literary translations, as well as editions, are excluded. The works which have been previously submitted to other juries are also excluded.

The authors, who necessarily have to be SAAS members, should send two copies of their work to the local organizers at the University of Barcelona:

Once the award is announced, the volumes will be returned to the authors.

The jury's decision, which is unappealable, will be made public during the members' general assembly during the conference.

The endowment of the award is 600 euros.

The next deadline, to coincide with the 9th conference of SAAS at the University of Barcelona, is January 15th, 2009.

Following the SAAS board's agreement, the composition of the jury will not be made public.
