Searchable Academic Journal Database
We are pleased to announce a searchable academic "Journal Database" is now available on https://alumni.state.gov. This great research tool provides free access to tens of thousands of dollars worth of subscriptions to over 1,000 academic journals and magazines. The database is
unparalleled in depth and scope, offering balanced coverage of every academic concentration - from advertising and microbiology to history and women's studies. Combining indexing, abstracts, full text and images, this database delivers answers for both the novice and the experienced researcher - all in one seamless search.
To access the Journal Database, login to State Alumni and click the link, "Journal Database," in the navigation banner or in the announcement on the What's New box of the homepage.
Currently access to the Journal Database is on a trial basis for the month of June. If this feature proves to be popular with State Alumni members, we will make it a permanent feature of the site. In this trial period, the Journal Database will accept up to five users at one time. We will monitor
use of this feature and may increase the number of users allowed concurrently if it is in demand.
If there are any journals that are not available in the database that you would find useful, please feel free to send the name of the journal to webmaster@alumni.state.gov and we may be able to include it in the database.
Please visit https://alumni.state.gov to explore this valuable research
tool.
